John Jay Heritage Center

The Club made its first in-person field trip in early May to the John Jay Heritage site in Rye.

The pandemic had meant that all gatherings were online, so 37 members were eager to join a complimentary guided tour of the grounds of the family home of America’s first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Its 23-acre park has received two awards from the Garden Club of America for its preservation and revitalization of the landscape.  Afterwards, the club made a donation to the non-profit in appreciation.
