Philanthropic Luncheon

Club Members Enjoy Activities

from September to May

  • Midday business meetings, held on the third Friday of the month, are followed by timely programs to inform or entertain. Afterward, Inviting tea tables sweeten those afternoons. Additional programs and trips are offered on other days with speakers representing various aspects of American cultural life.

  • In December our popular Book and Author Luncheon spotlights two or three Westchester authors who talk about (and inscribe) their new books at a festive setting in a private beach club on the Sound.

  • A small monthly book club meets in a member’s home for discussions of both fiction and nonfiction works chosen by the group.

  • In the spring, everyone comes together for the Philanthropic Luncheon, the climax of the Club’s year and its sole fund-raiser. It is an event filled with laughter, tradition, bargains, and elegant dining in the company of friends.  With tens of items up for bid in a silent auction made possible by the town’s shops and services, all proceeds are distributed to various Larchmont nonprofit charities and institutions.
